Bundaberg

BundabergBundaberg is a major city located in Queensland, Australia with a population of over 71,000 people. The city is located on the east coast of Australia and was established back in 1870. It is a major tourist attraction.

There is much to see and do in Bundaberg. One major attraction is the Mystery Craters. To this day these craters are an unsolved natural phenomenon of how they were formed. There are 35 craters in all and they can be viewed by a tower.

There are plenty of beautiful beaches nearby to enjoy or take a tour of the Bundaberg Rum Distillery.

If camping is of interest there are many parks in the area. One such park is Deepwater National Park that is home to many different species of giant turtles such as the Leatherhead Sea Turtle which is the largest of all.
Another attraction in the area is the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens. Pack your picnic basket and enjoy the day walking the paths filled with lovely fauna and flowers or visit the popular Hinkler Hall of Aviation that is located in the Gardens. The museum offers displays of different types of aircraft including a high-tech flight simulator and the history of the famed aviator Bert Hinkler himself.

Art Galleries are always a popular choice for tourists and Bundaberg Regional Galleries have year round exhibitions of contemporary, national and local art work. They offer self or guided tours, an art workshop and fun activities for the kids.

If gambling is of interest, the closest land casinos to Bundaberg are located in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland which is about a 4 hour drive south. There are 18 casino hotels in all including Jupiters casino. They all offer excellent accommodations and great views of the city.
